Huge amounts of CO2 are produced in S Colorado and sent to W Texas for tertiary recovery, then recycled in old oil fields. My family have had royalties paid from there for 40 years.

It is like any other “climate crisis” alarms: is is not an existential crisis for ANY living thing. ALL “climate crisis” pronouncements are nothing more than politically based fear-mongering. “The sky is falling! CO2 leaves the ocean by numerous paths, to name a few: 1) When transformed via phytoplankton photosynthesis carbohydrates are formed and proceed up the food chain, and ends up as solid wastes that settles to the ocean floor. 2) As the water is warmed, CO2 solubility in water decreases, and it outgases back to the atmosphere. 3) when combined with a Ca++ ion, either chemically or biologically by plankton, diatoms, coral, or mollusks, it forms calcium carbonate used in foraminifera tests, coral structures, mollusk shells, and also direct chemical precipitation that settles to the bottom as limey muds. The biological materials from dead algae, fish feces, dead fish and mammal flesh, and other debris accumulate in oxygen-poor environments where they are buried, and basically entombed until geologic processes convert them back to hydrocarbons including methane, petroleum and other future “fossil fuels” to continue the process. All “climate crisis” pronouncements are basically “political sound bites” designed to drive ignorant people to making bad, expensive, and personally dis-empowering decisions

The heat island effect has been known about and studied for many decades. No scientist is stupid enough to try and track temperature changes without allowing for it.
